Atelier de la Venise Normande draws its roots from Pont-Audemer in Normandy. Nicknamed the “Venise Normande” because of its little water canals running through it. For centuries this city has been a famous place for fashion. Since the Middle Ages, the streams that wind this Normand town have attracted dozens of tanners, making it a European capital of textile industry.

Their main factory, located in Normandy, is specialized in workwear since its creation in 1921. Three generations have been at the company’s head. In 1999, after almost 80 years of experience, the company decided to stop the production line in their workshops because of a sharp drop in activity.

Fifteen years later, in November 2014, Quentin, Olivier and Arthur relaunch the production line after creating the brand without any external other then the simple help of a fundraising campaign.

At just 20 years old, these young entrepreneurs wanted to revive the textile tradition of their home town, and above all, to produce Jeans combining elegant cuts and high degrees of know-how.

"The idea came to me in 2013 after buying jeans from a well-known French brand. I realized that it was made ... in Vietnam, and it frustrated me. I then wanted to create my own jeans, made in France, by opening an online store" says Olivier Le Bas.

Authenticity and fabrics are at the heart of their creations.

Their products can live and have recognition because of the quality of their craftsmanship; the leather age, the denim washes away, the products evolve beautifully over time.
